NOL Training Divisions

NOL's divisions were founded to develop a SOLID FOUNDATION for America’s youth to overcome environmental trauma and parental abandonment. Our divisions seek to address self-worth and self-empowerment through accountability and appreciation. So often, people talk about at-risk youth as if that is a particular group but NOL theorizes all youth are at risk. So to level the playing field, NOL primarily focuses on disenfranchised, socially disadvantaged, and underserved youth but is excited to provide an opportunity to all youth.

Athletic

BALAS

Building Athletes for Life After Sports (BALAS) is a program that will be utilized to train athletes at an early age so they don’t become fools with money. Too often, individuals chase the professional ranks of sports only to miss or make it and self-destruct. BALAS' mission is to add balance early by using business and money as motivating factors.

"BALAS" focuses on youth athletes owning and operating small businesses to:

  • Provide them with a real-world foundation and a reality check to realize that they may not make it into the professional ranks in their prospective sport, so they need something to fall back on.

  • Teach them how to manage their finances and personal affairs

  • Assist them in handling adversities on and off the court, field, and diamond.

  • Add depth, character, and substance to their lives.

  • Teach them positive values and to engage in positive activities

Non-Athletic

Boss Builders

Boss Builders focuses on Non-Athlete grades 6th through 12th to make them small business owners, youth marketers, and adolescent sales promoters. The program entails the development of youth through training and hands-on experience.

NOL knows it is essential to target this demographic because children often receive less attention in society when they don't participate in sports. A simple example is to go into the home or room of a child participating in sports and see trophies or certificates of accomplishments but nothing representing the child with no athletic ambition.
