In that absence, they search for identity, protection, and validation in the streets, in gangs, in abuse, and in misuse. Hope fades. Discipline disappears. Tragedy is no longer hidden; it becomes normalized. Tragedy does not always end in death. Often, it survives as a generational curse, waiting for the next child, the next household, the next eruption.
